He dreamed of following his father's path as a financial advisor, leading him to create a strong foundation in the finance sector. However, the global Covid-19 pandemic steered an unexpected turn in his professional path. The industry-wide hiring freeze in the financial world encouraged him to venture into entrepreneurship.

Using the skills passed down by his father – such as operating boats and engaging in various water sports – and business acumen acquired during his university years, he and his father and brothers founded Big Tex Boat Rentals. Turning challenges into opportunities, they have expanded this venture into a thriving business, celebrating three successful years and gearing up for their fourth summer season.

Cornwell's education started at St. Anne's and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High Schools, esteemed Catholic institutions in Beaumont. His early years were packed with sports, various activities, and community engagements, laying the foundation for his all-rounded personality.

He furthered his education at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where he delved into finance and management. He graduated with dual degrees in Finance and Management, bolstered by a minor in Economics. His time in university was further enriched by his active role in the student government as a Texas State Senator and his involvement in the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, where he held several executive positions.

Beyond his business and academic endeavors, his life is deeply entwined with community service and philanthropic commitments. He has volunteered for numerous charities, such as the Wounded Warrior Project from 2014 to 2018 and Bobcat Build from 2014 to 2018.

His contributions to Mobile Loaves & Fishes, where he helped raise funds for people experiencing homelessness and assisted in building homes from 2015 to 2016, were significant. He also participated in community services like the San Marcos River Cleanup and Flood Relief from 2014 to 2018. He has made his mark on various community events, including teaching crafts at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church Vacation Bible School and volunteering at the American Homes Kid's Fishing Tournament.
 

Personal Life and Hobbies

His avid outdoorsman father introduced him to water sports at an early age. The family property, "The Blue Mile," a private ski lake in Beaumont known for its water skiing and barefooting activities, became his training ground where his skills and passion blossomed.

A fitness enthusiast, he has embraced a healthy lifestyle thanks to the influence of his health-conscious parents. He enjoys duck hunting, fishing, and dirt biking. His fitness routine, initiated at 13, remains an integral part of his life, with his gym visits ranging from three to six days a week.

Music has always played an integral part in his life. His passion led him from learning the guitar to DJing at local bars during college. His entrepreneurial instincts found another outlet when he co-founded Lunar Events in Austin, Texas, along with his business partner Joe Kalla, establishing a platform for local music events.
