Corbin Cornwell

Corbin Cornwell embarked on his life's journey from Houston's vibrant streets on October 30, 1995. His foundational years in Beaumont, where familial bonds and the essence of Texan ethos shaped him, he was served as the cornerstone of his professional and personal values.

A deep-rooted appreciation for nature and adventure steered he towards launching Big Tex Boat Rentals. Positioned in Austin's pulsating heart, this venture provides idyllic nautical escapades on the serene waters of Lake Travis and Lake Austin. Whether intimate family cruises on pontoons or grandeur-filled yacht galas, His dedication ensures unparalleled aquatic experiences.

Before solidifying his place in Austin's entrepreneurial realm, he navigated the finance sector's corridors. His tenure at Texas State University led him to an invaluable internship at the illustrious United Bank of Switzerland. Although poised to walk a path similar to his father's in financial consulting, the unforeseen challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic compelled him to chart a new course. Drawing from his academic insights and his father's maritime expertise, he, backed by his kin, transformed the conceptual Big Tex Boat Rentals into a renowned entity. The establishment now eagerly anticipates its fourth bountiful season.

Reflecting on his academic trajectory, his formative years at St. Anne's and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High Schools in Beaumont laid a robust foundation. His subsequent voyage through Texas State University saw him securing dual degrees, enriched by leadership stints in student politics and deep bonds formed in the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

His endeavors, however, stretch beyond commerce and education. He's a philanthropic force, having collaborated with notable initiatives like the Wounded Warrior Project and has made substantial impacts with Mobile Loaves & Fishes. His commitment to communal enrichment is evident, from eco-conscious endeavors like river restoration to mentoring young aspirants in fishing tournaments.

Delving into his tapestry, the allure of "The Blue Mile," the Cornwell family's cherished ski lake in Beaumont, holds a special place. Alongside maintaining a rigorous fitness routine, his soul finds solace in music — from early guitar tunes to spinning tracks as a college DJ. His entrepreneurial verve also birthed Lunar Events in Austin, illuminating the city's musical landscape.

Cornwell's journey, blending youthful vigor with helming a prominent boat rental venture, paints a vivid picture of determination, adaptability, and quintessential Texan grit. As Big Tex Boat Rentals preps for its next season, he remains a compelling testament to perseverance and vision.
